Drive Shack Welcomes Student Groups to the World of Entertainment Golf

Jun 14, 2022

With a brand new program launched this past spring for students and teachers travelling to the Orlando and Richmond areas, Drive Shack is offering group packages that allow you to get outside and spark some friendly competition against your peers – all through a modern spin on the classic game of golf.

For students that are new to the sport, Drive Shack’s three levels of cutting-edge bay play combined with augmented reality gaming create a non-intimidating atmosphere to test your swing and enjoy the fresh air.

On the flip side, more experienced golfers and competitors are sure to enjoy Drive Shack’s TrackmanTM radar technology, which follows your swing from the tee box to the green, tracking distance and speed along the way.

Drive Shack is also working with students and educators in Richmond, VA & Orlando, FL to workshop an upcoming slate of STEM programing featuring everything from the History & Physics of Golfing to Coding for Augmented Reality gaming. With students themselves collaborating on the program the hope is to strike the right balance of informative, relevant, and fun.

“Entertainment golf has grown into an absolute phenomenon over the past few years, and Drive Shack is excited to be at the forefront of bringing the concept to the student travel market!” said Joey DelBuono, National Director of Sales for Drive Shack.

Student friendly packages are available to book through your favorite SYTA Approved Tour Operator.

Drive Shack offers a chef-inspired menu to fuel your game. The student travel package – Traditional FORE! – includes an exclusive menu that features chicken tenders, sliders, a nacho bar and more to fill you up, plus unlimited Powerade to cool you off while you play.

Of course, Drive Shack doesn’t have to be the only thing on your itinerary! If you join at Drive Shack Orlando, located in the up-and-coming area of Lake Nona, they encourage you to dedicate some time to exploring all the area has to offer. Some of Drive Shack’s favorite nearby spots include Back to Nature Wildlife Refuge, Heroes Community Park, Nona Adventure Park and, if you’re up for a drive to the coast, the Kennedy Space Center.

As for Drive Shack Richmond, the company is huge fans of the Science Museum of Virginia, the Metro Richmond Zoo, and the Children’s Museum of Richmond-Chesterfield — to name a few.
