The Metropolitan Opera’s family-friendly production of Mozart’s dazzling fairy tale The Magic Flute is returning, sung in English and running under two hours.
A brave prince goes on a quest to win the clever princess Pamina in this opera that premiered in 1791 shortly before Mozart’s death. The prince is enlisted by the queen to rescue the princess from a high priest, but things don’t go as initially planned.
The opera begins its run on December 8 and runs through the 30th, with more than a dozen performances to enjoy. If you’re going to be in NYC at the time, groups are saving big this holiday season!
