The 2026 Global Citizens Challenge from Your Big Year once again showed how powerful it is when young leaders come together with purpose.
The energy from students around the world was matched by the enthusiasm of the incredible SYTA members who participated as speakers and presenters. This year, participants represented more than 51 countries, bringing diverse perspectives and cultures to the program.
One teacher at Boston University High School said, “Our students who actually participated really loved it! I think it was especially good for students who haven’t had the opportunity to travel with us yet, and they loved meeting students from so many different places. We will definitely participate again next year, hopefully with a little less chaos in my schedule.”
We heard from students who loved the experiences as well.
Now, Your Big Year shifts their focus to impacting the youth on the ground in Pittsburgh with their skill-building program, and they will be there this August alongside the SYTA Annual Conference. The organization hopes to involve as many SYTA members as possible, so that you can see the impact of the SYTA Youth Foundation firsthand!
