On April 19, 2025, the towns of Lexington and Concord will mark the 250th Anniversary of the famous battles fought there – where the “Shot Heard ‘Round the World” which sparked the start of the American Revolution and gave birth to our nation rang out. Leading up to the celebration these towns and the surrounding valley will have special events and tours to commemorate this incredible story.
Although best known for its historical sites and places where literary greats found their inspiration, there is much more to see and do. Found here is a vibrant creative and performing arts community that includes galleries, studios, museums, theaters, and concert halls.
Each year June-August, the Lowell Summer Music series showcases national recording artists at the Lowell National Historical Park near a historic textile mill and boardinghouse. An event not to be missed is the world famous Annual Lowell Folk Festival in July where an eclectic group of musical styles from regions across the country can be heard.
