Your Big Year works alongside educators to bring global learning, career exploration, and real world skill building directly into classrooms through flexible virtual and in person experiences. Their programs are designed to support curriculum goals while engaging students in meaningful, student-centered learning.
Now, the team is excited to invite students to take part in the Your Big Year Global Citizens Challenge, happening February 26 to March 1, 2026. The Global Citizens Challenge is a fully funded virtual experience that connects students with peers from around the world. Students explore global issues, collaborate across cultures, and build skills that support both academic and personal growth. Participation is flexible and students may join individually or as part of a class.
During the Challenge, students will:
- Engage in guided conversations and PenPal style exchanges with students in other countries
- Participate in interactive virtual experiences with Pittsburgh, USA serving as the 2026 host city
- Learn from leaders and professionals through age-appropriate leadership and career focused sessions
- Collaborate on creative challenges that strengthen communication, problem solving, and global competency
