SYTA member tour operators selected these 10 cities as the top United States travel destinations favored by students and teachers for 2019.

Home to some of the most renowned museums and monuments in the world, New York City offers students a chance to delve into the worlds of hands-on learning, STEM, seacrafts and spacecrafts, modern and contemporary art, and culture—to name a few. Students could also remember and reflect on events that changed the trajectory of history forever and still affect the world we live in today.
Broadway shows are a Big Apple staple—and rightly so! Whether students simply see a show or take part in workshops and behind-the-scenes tours, the opportunities create undoubtedly memorable experiences for those who have a passion for music and performance.
New York is home to one of the most recognizable skylines in the world. Elevate students’ learning by showing them iconic sites from a bird’s-eye view—several stories up—or from an alternative perspective on the water. Harbor cruises and water taxis provide a refreshing perspective of a city that’s full of things to see and do.
